Obama Ads Spur Economic Recovery; Pandora Paid Subscriptions on the Rise
NEW YORK — As evidence emerges on a daily basis that the POTUS’s policies are bolstering the economy, Pandora, Inc. – inventor of musical profiling and custodian of the Music Genome Project – has recorded a substantial spike in its paid membership subscriptions.
Only two weeks afterthe Obama4America “All Inclusive Energy” ads began running after every fifth song on the free Pandora Radio app, commercial-free memberships began to rise exponentially. The unforeseen financial benefits have led app programmers to create more ways to improve its bottom-line.
In fact, the group made an offer this week to the administration for a new re-election strategy. Pandora was toggling between the “Oil Production is Up” and the “Auto Production is Up” ads after songs in the app music cycle. They will be adding the new “We Approve of War, Now” and “We Like Every Baseball Team, Not Just the White Sox” versions of their campaign too. Both ads had been shelved after questions of their effectiveness in vote production, but will be introduced into the beginning on April 15th – Tax day.
In addition to Pandora, Obama4America ads will also appear in the following technologies: Foursquare after every fifth check-in; Angry Birds after every fifth level cleared; LinkedIn after every fifth profile viewed, and onPinterest after every fifth Pin. What constructs these ads will address, however, is not yet known.
In his blog “A View from the Neklyne,” Fancyelectronics expert and attaché to Apple’s App Store Harry Neklyne suggests that “…an allusion to how these apps will help to save or create a million more jobs, and some kind of endorsement of the Occupy movement, will surely make people buy commercial-free…”
“The applications market are lining up to include these ads in their free versions, and paid subscriptions are skyrocketing,” Angela Joyce of the Orlando-based AJApps told TWF in a FaceTime session. “We are actually developing a separate app to handle the subscription load, and another to block content altogether. The president is really offering us a new opportunity to make money and create jobs, blocking his content. I hope he gets re-elected – imagine the possibilities in the future!”
Isbin Afortnight, the Mobil Application Production Manager for Obama4America, has not returned calls to The Washington Fancy, but suggestively tweeted, “You’re welcome app world, wait until you see our October surprise.”
