WASHINGTON — Presidential question mark Mitt Romney expressed outrage yesterday over President Barack Obama suggesting there should be more cooperation between the Republicans and Democrats in the corridors of power across the nation.
“That’s just silly,” snorted Romney going on the attack. “We don’t cooperate. We obfuscate, decimate and liquidate, and no gay, Muslim foreigner is going to tell us how to legislate.”
Obama defended himself against the attack by suggesting the country’s goals must come before party goals.
The President’s defense was instantly attacked by Romney, who retorted defensively that cooperation with stupid jerks makes one a stupid jerk. Obama then attacked Romney’s defense of the attack by pointing out the government, particularly on the Republican side, is full of stupid jerks already, whether they cooperate or not.
Romney was quick to defend against Obama’s attack by charging that Obama must be on the defensive to suggest such an initiative. Obama attacked this defense by asserting that Romney’s defense of his attack was actually another attack and it that was obvious Romney attacked out of turn.
Un-named sources were encouraged that the interchange between the two men was the start of a new era in “open, honest debate” and boded well for the cooperation initiative.
