Preacher Verbally Shoots Colorado Audience During Screening of “The Master”
DENVER – More sad news came out of Colorado late Wednesday night, as another tragic event took place at a popular movie theatre during a showing of The Master. Authorities responded to several 911 calls around the eleven o’clock hour from a local twelve-screen theatre in Grand Junction, Colorado.
“At this time, we believe the suspect stood up about fifteen minutes into the movie and started verbally assaulting audience members with verses of scripture,” stated Grand Junction Police Chief Bart Camaro. ”It would appear that this gentleman, a former preacher, assumed the film was “the Devil’s propaganda” and that healthy, God-fearing citizens shouldn’t have to view it.
At first, several witnesses misinterpreted the former preacher’s loud tirade as a movie theatre gimmick, having reportedly laughed at the suspect. However, patrons grew weary when the suspect yelled out, “I am NOT a joker!”
The former preacher, whose name has yet to be released to the public, surrendered to police moments after they arrived on scene. No one was harmed during the outburst.
