Jim Lehrer Pathetically Tries to Hail Cab in Times Square
By William Schnabel
DENVER – Still feeling rather distraught and downtrodden from last week’s presidential debate, moderator Jim Lehrer unsuccessfully attempted to alert the attention of a taxi driver. In an effort to catch a ride home, while standing outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, Mr. Lehrer raised his voice as cab drivers paid him no mind.
Witnesses to the incident described Lehrer’s struggle to execute a simple task as “feeble to the point of hilarity,” while he paced around outside the restaurant grounds trying to remain in control of the situation.
After a cab driver finally stopped, Lehrer was frustrated when a member of Romney’s campaign team insisted he would be taking it, despite Lehrer’s extended protests.
Lehrer was last spotted trying to explain to his wife that he would be late, which ended with him agreeing to do extra household chores.
